Arthritis – A Disease of Wear and Tear?
Webinar 2: Case Studies
In this second installment of the OA series, we moved from theory into clinical practice bringing the map of joint degeneration to life through a detailed case study.
Together we explored:
- A patient with bilateral hip replacement. Their history, imaging, symptom progression, and systemic context.
- The case history as narrative and diagnostic map. What patterns were revealed through timing, presentation, long-term stress load, injuries, metabolic status and hormonal shifts?
- X-rays and relevant clinical data. Interpreting structural clues: joint spacing, osteophytes, subchondral sclerosis, load-bearing patterns, and compensatory adaptations.
- The unique constellation of drivers. How mechanical load, hormone dynamics, mineral homeostasis, inflammation, fascial tension, nutritional gaps and structured water all play a part.
- Treatment priorities: where leverage truly lies. Identifying the ‘big levers’ that can shift joint inflammation, metabolism, cartilage maintenance and repair.
- Possible interventions. Nutritional, botanical, lifestyle, somatic, metabolic and hydration-based strategies that align with the patient’s presentation.
This webinar helps practitioners translate joint physiology into meaningful, actionable clinical reasoning – honouring both the complexity and the profound malleability of the musculoskeletal system.
This lesson includes:
- Webinar recording (video and MP3 audio – 90+ minutes)
