School for
Restorative Medicine
Learning the language of the body, healing the inner terrain
Our body does not lie, but are we able to hear it? Can we truly behold the wonder of its intelligence? Trillions of cells enmeshed together in a matrix of structured water, an intricately orchestrated whole, coalesced into organs. Encased in fascia, muscles, skin, held upright and in movement by a crystalline scaffolding of bone. Perpetually rebuilding itself, remembering, learning and healing. Its boundaries porous, in a constant flow of communication with the rest of life – from the food on our plate, and the voice of a beloved, to the movement of the planets. Thus, in relationship with all things, our body becomes whole. An indivisible vessel, home to all that we are; our memories, the stories of our ancestors, our soul. What a profound mystery, beyond the reach of our grasping intellect, split asunder from its true place in this intelligence.

Welcome to School for Restorative Medicine
Why do we ail? This is a space of inquiry and learning, with intent to shed light on the root causes and processes driving the relentless rise in chronic disease.
Through a study of our inner terrain, we can begin to discern not only detrimental influences but also gain profound appreciation for the beauty and resilience of living systems. Such vast intelligence which continuously reveals itself in ever evolving feedback loops, clearly holds capacity for self-repair and renewal.
The School for Restorative Medicine is thus a space for shared sense-making, with awareness first and foremost on what prevents our flourishing. Together, we gather insights adding depth and detail to the ever evolving maps guiding our journey back to health and wholeness.
Join us in exploring pathways to restoration, unlocking the body’s inherent potential to thrive.
Who is conducting the symphony of life? Where are the weavers of life's web? Listening to the vibrations of the whole, learning the patterns of the weave, we may begin to decipher the multiple interconnected layers of cause and consequence.

Meet the Founder

Dr Nicole Freris
I qualified in Medicine from Cambridge University. Soon after I gained membership to the Royal College of Physicians and later to the Royal College of General Practitioners.
I have been working as a doctor for 35 years, 25 years in London as an inner city GP, and 10 years as a barefoot doctor with indigenous people in the Brazilian Amazon.
Returning from Brazil, I practiced and taught Permaculture design for 10 years. I then studied herbal medicine, and was mentored by Christopher Hedley who I worked and taught with until his death in 2017. I went on to develop the curriculum in Restorative Medicine initially as part of a professional diploma in Western Herbal Medicine at Heartwood Education.
My Profession has given me the great privilege of meeting people from all walks of life in extremely diverse settings and witnessing the language of the body in health and illness, youth, age, and death.
