In course VIII we explore the delicate systems of coordination, synthesis, balance, and feedback starting with our master controller – the hypothalamus. From up top in our central nervous system, the hypothalamus orchestrates a varied chemical and hormonal dance involving the endocrine, adrenal, and urinary systems, as well as the thyroid, to facilitate the balance of fluids, minerals, hormones, and our metabolic fire. The right biological response, at the right time – a dazzling feat of complex communication and co-ordination.
