Description

In course XIII we contemplate the anatomy and physiology of the upper and lower respiratory systems giving time to wonder about the nature of the breath and its significance for the rest of the body. We briefly explore how ancient systems of medicine viewed the lungs, and look at the sacred relationship that first nations people had to tobacco. We then get into the detail of the pathophysiology, clinical presentations, and drivers of the big disease states in this important system of the body.
